It was warm and sunny on the afternoon of OYA’s annual foster care picnic in late July.
Perfect for cooling off with popsicles and water games — including balloon fights, cannons, and relays.
But the games and treats served a greater purpose than helping everyone stay cool: They helped youth, foster parents, and OYA staff learn trust and forge positive relationships in a stress-free environment.
