UPDATED: Three Youth Who Escaped from MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility Back in Custody

***UPDATE, May 14, 2024, 3:45 p.m.*** Julian Diaz-Navarro has been arrested on the warrant issued and is currently being held at Marion County Jail.

***UPDATE, May 9, 2024, 9:30 a.m.*** Xavier Swimm has been arrested on the warrant issued and is currently being held at Canyon County Juvenile Detention Center in Idaho.

ORIGINAL POST:

WOODBURN, Ore. — Three youth escaped from MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn at about 9:12 p.m. on Sunday. Warrants have been issued for their arrest, and law enforcement are actively searching for the youth.

The youth are:

  • Angel Diaz-Barrera, age 19, adjudicated for robbery 1 and carry/use of a dangerous weapon in Marion County
  • Julian Diaz-Navarro, age 19, adjudicated for attempt assault 1, carry/use dangerous weapon in Marion County
  • Xavier Swimm, age 21, adjudicated for attempted assault 2, aggravated harassment in Multnomah County

Diaz-Barrera and Diaz-Navarro are from Salem; Swimm is from Portland. If anyone sees these youth, please call 911. If someone has information about the youths’ whereabouts, they should call Oregon State Police at 503-375-3555 (reference case # SP 24-054230).

MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility is on lockdown status while state police investigate this incident.
